TechTerra Launches the TerraCall Hardware Store and Announces the Release of Dialing Software from Chat-Cord for Remote Dialing of Xten’s Softphones
Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014
TechTerra Communications, Inc., a leading Voice-Over- Internet-Protocol (VoIP) service provider, today announced the launch of the TerraCall Hardware Store which is powered by Voxilla’s excellence in pre-configuring and logistics, and is combined with TerraCall service, giving the most flexible solution available in the market. The online store will be selling VoIP related hardware such as the Chat-Cord(TM), VoIP analog telephone adaptors (ATA’s), computer headsets, port converters and wireless gear. ATA’s adapt a cordless or non-cordless analog telephone for internet calling through a direct connection to the internet. The ATA’s and SIP phone devices sold at TerraCall’s Hardware Store will be pre-configured and will include a complimentary iCard (pre-paid calling card) for making calls to landlines and cell phones.
The Chat-Cord™ allows for the easy connection of cordless analog telephones to a computer for use with SIP softphones. The Chat-Cord™ connects directly to the computer’s audio card and a pass-through allows for the normal operation of external speakers. When a call is initiated on the computer or an inbound call is accepted on the computer, the phone attached to the Chat- Cord takes over. No drivers are required, so adaptability is wide.
The Chat-Cord™ will be available alone or in a bundled package that will feature TerraCall’s X-PRO BE (business edition) softphone from Xten (OTCBB:XNWK), an iCard, and the newly released remote dialing software, Chat-Cord@TerraPRO for Windows XP®. The remote dialing software allows the user of a cordless phone connected to the computer via the Chat-Cord to dial and answer the call from the phone itself rather than from the softphone and enjoy regular features such as speed dialing and phonebook management.
