ADTRAN and CounterPath Partner on IP Softphone

CounterPath Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CTPS), a leader in Voice over IP (VoIP) communications software and ADTRAN®, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN) a leading supplier of IP-based networking solutions have partnered in the development of a IP softphone for use with ADTRAN’s newly announced NetVanta® 7100 IP PBX-switch-router. This new co-branded IP softphone is designed to extend the convenience and cost savings of VoIP to mobile, home and branch office users by providing the ability to use PCs or laptops as a phone via an easy to use, feature rich Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The co-branded ADTRAN/CounterPath IP Softphone will be available to NetVanta 7100 customers beginning in March, 2006. A five-license user pack will has a list price of $500.
