New Survey Finds CounterPath’s Bria Teams Sparks Enterprise Productivity, and Streamlines Team Communications

Vancouver, BC, Canada — December 19, 2018

CounterPath Corporation (NASDAQ: CPAH) (TSX: PATH), a global provider of award-winning over-the-top (OTT) Unified Communications (UC) solutions for enterprises and service providers, today released findings from a recent survey exploring users’ perceptions of the impact Bria Teams has on delivering a quality UC experience. According to the November 2018 survey conducted, 83% of respondents were inclined to recommend Bria Teams. In addition, 76% of organizations using Bria Teams found the solution helped boost productivity.

The survey uncovered other key facts:

  • 97% of surveyed organizations appreciate Bria Teams’ cloud-hosted administrator portal for allowing easier user management and on-boarding.
  • Over 70% of administrators value its multi-device support feature. Bria Teams offers a consistent user experience and data sync across mobile and desktop operating systems including iOS, Android, Mac and Windows.
  • When comparing Bria Teams to competitive offerings, 68% of respondents prefer Bria Teams for its simple pricing options. Bria Teams monthly and annual subscription models support a variety of business needs.

Survey respondents also identified three top benefits from their Bria Teams implementation:

  • Separation and tracking of business phone use from personal mobile phone use. This enables businesses to reduce mobile phone costs by funneling all business communications through the Bria Teams application.
  • Call center agents can comfortably streamline their communications via an intuitive interface. Supports easy deployment of Bria Teams across redeployed machines.
  • Reduced setup time with an easy-to-use administrator portal to provision and manage a team.

“There has been noticeable acceleration in the adoption of team communications technologies in the industry,” said Todd Carothers, EVP of Sales, Marketing and Product at CounterPath. “This TechValidate survey reveals an important shift as small to medium businesses are increasingly looking for easy to deploy and manage business communications and collaboration solutions that fit within their business workflow. The initial reception following the launch of Bria Teams in September 2018 has shown we have hit the sweet spot for the market providing UC services through a unified softphone.” Reflecting on CounterPath’s commitment to customer satisfaction, Carothers added, “We conduct routine surveys to gain valuable insights from our customers and this helps us stay innovative and provide rapid updates to Bria Teams on a timely basis.”
