Xten Celebrates the Release of New SIP Softphones for Wireless Networks with the Launch of VoIPmobility.com

Vancouver, BC, Canada — September 05, 2014

Xten (OTCBB: XNWK), a provider of VoIP (Voice over IP) and Video over IP SIP softphones, today announced a new mobile IP communications effort www.VoIPmobility.com in concert with the release of their new Windows Mobile Pocket PC SIP softphone X-PRO v2.2 currently available from the VoIPmobility.com or Xten.com websites.

This new wireless IP communications effort will leverage Xten’s new mobile OS softphones and SDK development for VoIP, Video over IP, Instant Messaging and Presence awareness deployments on wireless networks.

“We’ve been extremely impressed with Xten’s open standards-based VoIP and Video over IP SIP softphones, and the Pocket PC version is a natural extension of the product line,” commented Pete Bonee, president and CEO of Sylantro Systems, a leading provider of applications feature servers for hosted communications services. “We are demonstrating the flexibility and ease-of-use of the Xten Voice and Video SIP softphone in a wireless network during VON as an example of this technology’s bright promise.”

Xten will also be demonstrating the new version of the X-PRO for Windows Mobile Pocket PC v2.2 on a wireless network at VON (booth # 833). eyeBeam v1.0 (Windows and MAC OS X) and X-PRO for Windows Mobile Pocket PC version 2.2 come with some optional new features not released in previous versions of the software including AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) and SMS (Short Message Service, only available for specific carrier customers).

“Interest is growing rapidly for Xten SIP softphones in VoWLAN and wireless 2.5 and 3G network deployments. We felt it was the right time to boost our support for wireless networks and various mobile operating systems starting with a complete rebuild of our Windows Mobile Pocket PC SIP softphone,” explained Erik Lagerway chief operating officer at Xten, “Soon the majority of the SIP endpoints will exist in the form of wireless handsets, it was only natural for us to go down this path.”
